Main street lanes

Shannon, her cousin Adam and I ventured out to Main Street Lanes on Hilton Head Island. Prices here are like Park Ave. Boutiques Back home. $7.50/game for non-locals. Thankfully Tim gave us the local rate at $3/game. The bowling center was pretty dead and only required one person at the counter and another at the snack bar. 24 hardwood lanes with nice old Brunswick 2000 machines. We had to ask for help figuring out the machines, they were basically commodore 64s.

The lanes were definitely different from Aloma Bowl. A lot drier and stiff feeling, my ball was reacting a lot more. With the high prices, we only bowled two games. Everyone at least improved on the second game and a lot of fun was had. Bowling in different cities is going to be an interesting journey.

I was surprised at how empty the place was. Out of 24 lanes maybe 8 were bowling, I guess that explains the crazy pricing. In all it was a great night. Plus Tim gave us BOGO coupons for any AMF bowling center. The night ended with some drinks at a beach bar followed by a 2:00 am stroll by the ocean. Good times indeed.

edit: I figured I'd post our scores for our log. Not high scoring games at all but it's not entirley about scores for us. Sure we want to improve but we always just want to have fun and make good memories. Success.
